Here is some information about the communities and ministries that have been formed in relation to the Ecclesia Project thus far:

KINESIS

Kinesis [ki-nee-sis]

-noun

1. The movement of an organism in response to a stimulus.

2. Greek: κινεο From the Greek word kineo meaning to move or to stir up. Found in Acts 17:28a…“For ‘In [God] we live and move and have our being.’”

3. A spiritual community for young adults in Mid-Kentucky Presbytery forming in response to God’s Spirit.

Kinesis is a spiritual community for young adults between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five who strive to “be church” with one another. We do this through a network of Intentional Communities which incorporates aspects of the Inward, Outward and Communal Journey. Through the presence of the Spirit, all space can become sacred space.

All of Louisville becomes church as we play, live and work together.

TEAM SWEATY SHEEP

Ryan Althaus of Team Sweaty SheepSweaty Sheep is a ministry of the Mid-KY Presbytery that seeks to keep our congregations healthy and playful… to keep us having fun and growing in a positive relationship with God and with each other. “You learn more about a person in one hour of play than in a year of conversation” states Plato; and play we will. Through this growth and energy we send our church into the community and in turn we bring the community to church. Sweaty Sheep evangelizes through our laughter and the light that radiates out of our smiles during fellowship. Sweaty Sheep seeks to serve as a network for our local congregations, while also acting as a platform for evangelism in the local Louisville community in our service to God. We serve and play through our sweat, following the footsteps of Christ (Remember that Jesus walked…ALOT!) Sweaty Sheep is a Christian movement (pun fully intended) that is built on the understanding that Re-creation is a direct result of recreation.
